I finally finished another book!
It seems like it is taking me forever anymore to finish reading books. I finally finished one yesterday that I had been working on for quite awhile- The Hand of God, a Journey from Death to Life by the Abortion Doctor who Changed His Mind. Not only was it a long title :) but it was also a heavier read. The author uses a large vocabulary, he is quite a scholar, and the subject matter is rather serious. The book gives a real good behind the scenes look at abortion and how it became legal. The author, Bernard Nathanson was a cofounder of NARAL, had a big part in making abortion legal and performed tens of thousands of them himself. He knows the business and shows how wrong he was. He gives incredible insight into the gruesome business that many exalt as a woman's right.

Kate,
That does sound like a heavy read. I would have a hard time, emotionally, with the subject matter. Don't you think it would be good to have a book like this easier to read, it may reach more people. Not every one will drudge through it like you did. I have been reading Thomas A Kempis, and thought it would be hard to understand, but suprisingly, it is soft, easy, thoughtful reading.
